Youth Group

Our youth group continues to grow under the leadership of Greg Hobbs, Robert Montgomery, Doug Bondor, Kelly Biggers and Amanda Eckelkamp.  We do many exciting things, some of which are highlighted below:

  • Yearly mission trips
  • Regular weekend retreats for spiritual growth and fun
  • Winter ski trips
  • Skating
  • All night bowling parties
  • We meet each Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. For more information on our youth group contact Greg Hobbs.

    Past mission trips

    • In the spring of 1999, our youth spent their spring break doing mission work among the children of the Choctaw Reservation in Mississippi. They did an evening Vacation Bible School, as well as constructed two playground units in this poverty stricken area.
    • In July, 2000, sixteen of our youth participated in an exciting mission trip to a poverty stricken area of the Bahamas. We spent the week leading Vacation Bible Schools in the villages of High Rock and Freetown. This trip was in partnership with SEA Missions.
    • In June of 2001, our youth went on a mission trip to Cumberland, Tn. with the Mountain Top ministries. They worked among poor children, helping to lead a day camp experience.
    • In July of 2002, they returned to the Bahamas. This time to McLean’s Town, a poor fishing village. They once again ministered through Vacation Bible School. 
    • In July of 2003, they returned to McLean’s Town in the Bahamas. During the day, they ministered through Vacation Bible School.  In the evenings, they ministered to the youth of the community during devotion times.
    • In July of 2004, our youth participate in the World Changer’s Mission Trip to Murphy, North Carolina.
    • In July of 2005, the youth once again joined the World Changer’s. This time for a trip to Birmingham, Alabama.
    • In July of 2006, the youth went with Serve Management to New Orleans, Louisiana to help Hurricane Katrina victims.
